Omen of Sorrow, a fighting game that bears similarities to Mortal Kombat, has finally made its way to the Nintendo Switch. As a fan of the genre, I was excited to dive into this dark and gothic world, but unfortunately, my experience was marred by one major technical issue.

The gameplay itself is reminiscent of Mortal Kombat, with 3D characters battling on a 2D plane. The combo system is similar in quality, making for some intense and thrilling matches. And who wouldn't want to fight as Jesus Christ? It's a unique twist that's sure to appeal to a certain demographic.

While Omen of Sorrow may not be the best fighting game out there, its presentation is undoubtedly impressive. The game's gothic grim darkness aesthetic is stunning, bringing together a wide range of supernatural creatures like vampires, werewolves, dark angels, succubi, mummies, and even Elizabeth Bathory. It's an emo kid's dream come true.

As someone who appreciates the darker side of things, I found myself drawn to Omen of Sorrow's atmospheric presentation. It's a game that would have been totally cool when I was 18 years old, and it still holds up today. However, the Switch port is crippled by one major technical issue that detracts from the overall experience.

If you're a fan of fighting games or appreciate the dark and gothic, Omen of Sorrow is definitely worth checking out on the Switch. Just be prepared for some minor frustrations due to the technical issue.
